Short for time? Here’s an effective full body workout you can get through in just 20 minutes. Yes, you heard me….just 20 minutes!

One of the most common reasons for not working out is ‘I don’t have time’.

Ask yourself truthfully if you go for a cheeky drink or dinner after work during the week when you could be training instead? Of course, its important to have a balance but just remember healthy body = healthy mind so do your best to get in at least three forms of exercise a week. Get out of your mind that you need to be working out in the gym for an hour to get results, if you workout in the right way and at the right intensity you can still achieve great results in just 20 minutes.

To help you busy bees, I’ve pulled a 20 minute plan together that I can guarantee will get you sweating, burning fat and improve your fitness levels. Maybe add an extra 10 minutes to the end as you’ll definitely need a shower after this….

Warm Up

A starter to get warmed up (30s for each exercise, no rest – 3 rounds):

1. Squats

2. Star jumps

3. High-knees

Main Workout

HIIT workout (30s for each exercise, 10s rest – 3 rounds):

1. Jumping lunges

2. Burpees

3. Press-ups

4. Squat jumps

5. Mountain climbers

6. Walk-outs

7. Abdominal crunches

Repeat the workout 3 times and feel free to up the rest slightly to 30 seconds between each round if it feels necessary. Remember this routine is reliant on intensity so work as hard as you can in the 30 seconds, when the going gets tough remind yourself it will all be over in 20 minutes!
