Today’s installment of the Tuesday Treat is a simple concoction that will give you the protein and energy boost you need. This Protein Boost Shake is perfect for anyone who is on the move, can’t fit a snack or meal in, or simply those looking for a quick protein boost post-workout.

I sit slurping on mine now as we speak and it tastes gooooooood!

All you will need for this particular shake is as follows (but feel free to add your own additions to it):

  • 1 banana (or any other fruit you feel you fancy)
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 1 small palm full of oats
  • 3 tablespoons of natural FULL FAT Greek yoghurt
  • 1 scoop Protein Powder (mine was plain as I want my own flavour but feel free to add flavoured)
  • Topped up with a little semi-skimmed milk to adjust thickness

All that is needed is to bundle these ingredients into your blender, whizz it all up until smooth, then sit back, or run off to your next appointment, and enjoy the creamy protein-y goodness! The peanut butter, yoghurt, and protein powder provide those well-needed building blocks to repair and restore those muscular tissues, whilst the oats and fruit provide you with that energy boost your gym sessions may have just sapped from you. The additional bonus is that it tastes really good and you can have a guilt free snack, breakfast, or post-workout treat.
