Suspension Training and Kettlebells

Don’t worry – not using them both at the same time! That would be something though wouldn’t it! This week I’ve had the awesome pleasure of covering Lucy’s fab HIIT class on Monday, which is then followed by my own Kettlebell class. I spent some of sunny Monday planning the sessions. I remembered that a week or so ago we were blogging about suspension training, so decided to incorporate that into the HIIT Session. I then wanted something very different to complement it with the Kettlebells session. On Wednesday morning I merged the two sessions together and it really worked! So here it is, my suspension training and kettlebell workout!


Suspension HIIT

6 exercises
45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest
We used both TRX and Human Trainers

Suspending Hanging Knee Tucks
Box Jumps
TRX One Legged Squat
Bunny Hops
TRX Row
Speed Ladder

Kettlebell Blast
1-2 Kettlebells
10 exercises
1 min each exercise – no rest

Squats
Single Arm Shoulder Press
Double Handed Swing
Round the Body
Lunge & Feed Through
Halo
Figure of 8
Single Handed Clean & Press
Squat & Upright Row
Wood Chop

I then repeated the HIIT Circuit followed by the Kettlebell Blast – but Kettlebells I did in reverse!
