Have you ever found yourself stuck between a rock and a hard place with your training? Have you ever been on that verge of seeking a Personal Trainer and then never getting round to it? Then this article may help push you over that edge, or at least tickle your taste buds for that extra bit of help. The following article discusses some (not all) of the potentially beneficial reasons for seeking a Personal Trainer (PT).

Why should you get a Personal Trainer?

Personal Trainer

The following benefits of a PT are just the key features that I believe to be valuable:

Achieving Goals

A PT plays a key role in several aspects of your exercise journey. A PT will:

  • Offer a thorough goal setting process that will make achieving your targets that little bit easier.
  • Provide you with an evidence-based exercise plan that will be bespoke and tailored to your needs.
  • Provide you with ongoing nutritional advice, health and fitness assessments (e.g., body fat measures

Motivation

Alongside the specifics of your Personal Training sessions, your trainer will offer more than you think. They will:

  • Take the responsibility for preparing your sessions away from you, so you just need to show up and do what they plan for you.
  • Offer you a friendly face to come and socialise with and take your mind off the hard work of your sessions.
  • Provide in-session and out-of-session motivation, giving you that extra helping push towards your goals.

Education

A PT isn’t just there to make you exercise and keep you going. They will also:

  • Give you an avenue to fire any exercise, health, and fitness questions. This is true for outside of your sessions too – not just within that hour.
  • Build your own knowledge and education of your body, how to train it, and how to maintain your results.
  • Offer key guidance on your exercise technique and teach you new things (should you want to).

These examples are just my perspective on what I feel you can gain from the valuable knowledge of a motive8 PT.
