Motive8 Client Events

In the past the motive8 team have taken part in various events to do our bit for charity. Jenny did a fantastic job biking 180 miles around Yorkshire in just 2 days, Lucy flipped our 75kg tractor tyre 2000 times (flipping mad), and Kate stepped into the ring and took part in a Pink Collar Boxing match.

In 2017 The Motive8 Warriors smashed the Total Warrior obstacle course, gym members cycled in flat caps for Flat Cap Friday, Richard Kellam (one of our gym members) had an epic one hour Burpee Challenge, the girls took part in the Yorkshire Lass Sportive, and we held our first ever Pub Quiz raising over £1000 in one night!

2018 will be no different – ever wanted to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, do an obstacle course or run a 10k? Joined us last year and want to do it again? Well now you can! Here’s a list of some of the events the motive8 team are doing in 2018, and this is your chance kick start your new year with some new challenges.

Our chosen charity is Brain Tumour Research & Support Across Yorkshire (BTRS), you can choose to help us raise money for this amazing charity or you can just do the events for fun! Last year we raised a phenomenal £4,000 and this year we want to smash that amount.

3 Peaks – Saturday 12th May
Big Bike Ride (35 & 64 mile options) – Saturday 2nd June
Total Warrior – Sunday 24th June
Run For All 10k – Sunday 8th July

The Motive8 Big Quiz! 22nd March 2018

Following on from the success of last year why not join us for an evening of fun with our quiz night at The Northern Monk Refectory. Raffle prizes to be won. Starts at 630pm.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks, 12th May 2018

Challenge yourself and tackle the Yorkshire 3 Peaks – Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. Join the motive8 team and aim to conquer the 25 miles in under 12 hours.

Total Warrior Leeds, 2nd June 2018

Whether you’re a runner or not, an obstacle race is always good fun….and muddy!! A great event to train for! Join the team on the 2nd June and tackle the Total Warrior.

One of the things I love about motive8, is all of the ‘extra-curricular’ activities they plan in addition to your normal workouts. I love taking part in the monthly gym challenge and also going to events such as The Total Warrior and Quiz Nights. It really does create that sense of community.
